When studying God's Word, sometimes I wonder how in the world the Israelites, God's chosen people, could have been so blatantly out of God's will. Throughout history, they repeatedly turned to idol worship, even after witnessing and experiencing God's miraculous strength, protection, and provision.

And then, I think about us (me) today. The devil surely knows EXACTLY how to approach us and tempt us. He knows our weaknesses. And although they might not be a "giant gold calf," various "idols of worship" are presented to us on an individual and daily basis. The devil is smart and sneaky about it too. These "idols" may not necessarily be bad things, but good things -- just in the wrong order in our lives. Things that will not bring God glory. Things we become consumed with -- that take over our minds and hearts... things that WE want, but not things God wants for us.

Just reflecting and sharing. It's an ongoing struggle. Watch out for that "roaring lion" -- he just may be "in full disguise". He's a "glory thief," and he's always hungry! I Peter 5:8

When CHANGE is needed, God knows exactly WHERE -- and offers us the GRACE and STRENGTH to make it happen.

It's not important that WE know...
It's important for us to know that HE knows...

This is difficult for me. I don't procrastinate... I want to be prepared. But sometimes, things happen that you're not prepared for -- you could NEVER prepare yourself for...

BUT, we can be prepared by faith... faith that HE knows what's in the darkness, and He will guide us through it.
