This past Thursday, our Adventure Based Counseling program was excited to welcome The Salvation Army WPA Youth Camp Allegheny’s leadership team for a dynamic teambuilding session. As part of Camp Allegheny’s week-long training, this experience helped prepare staff and camp counselors for a memorable summer of outdoor adventures with young campers from across Western PA. The session focused on building leadership skills, accountability, and trust, fostering a team mindset that will stay with these young leaders long after this summer.

On May 19, Governor Shapiro of the Office of the Governor of Pennsylvania signed a proclamation recognizing the dedication of Pennsylvania’s Child Welfare workforce and providers. This special honor celebrates the professionals and organizations supporting children and families across the state during the first two weeks of June 2026.
