I had never checked out those Cherry Blossom shenanigans, so I thought it was time.

put on quite a show. I wasn’t expecting that while I was vibing to really great music with awesome people that my car was being ransacked by homeless people.

My camera, my money, my pens, my passport, and devices. Gone.

I called the cops at 11:06pm with them telling me to wait for an officer to show up the Crystal Ballroom. A homeless guy circled back to take more things after he had filled his backpack of my items. I grabbed him out of my car and slammed him to the pavement and proceeded to call the police again. Three patrol cars finally arrived at 11:36pm and placed me in cuffs until things were sorted out.

I’m safe and things can be replaced; but it’s just a dreadful feeling having to second guess even going to a concert. Do NOT park on Couch Street or anywhere unsecured in Burnside.

I’ll be checking pawn shops for some items and I have a Portland Police case number.

Great music. Awful events.

Epic! Truly epic!

Say what you will about video games; but EVERYONE knows something about Halo. From the LAN parties, from the costumes, from the music and epic marketing, and even to the awful try at a television series… You can’t ignore this franchise.

Being a fan was one thing, but being surrounded by a community of gamers who were there from the beginning and have seen the franchise grow… I feel truly lucky and blessed.

This past weekend was just AWESOME! I couldn’t have written it any other way. The tournament was the tournament and nothing particularly harrowing took place; but it was all the in between moment that really made me smile. Everyone was fully aware that this would be the last tournament gathering for the current game, but everyone was also fully content on making the in between moments count because we just don’t know when an event like this will happen again.

You heard the emotion and feeling in everyone’s words and you knew that people were savoring moments and stockpiling memories.

Having a day one friend present from was incredible. 18 years of friendship and got to chill like the old days with his amazing squad.
