It struck me & I found myself reading it multiple times, piece by piece. Allowing each sentence to settle beneath my skin.

It's the beginning of "Mental Health Awareness Month" which honestly, I find to be an odd name considering we don't need awareness of mental health- we need acceptance, understanding & education. We need resources. Destigmatization... & a lot more hugs.

Seriously, who else could use a hug (or preferred comforting measure) right about now?
This post reminded me that the root of healing is connection... shame cannot survive empathy.

It reminded me how much community is needed when we're hurting & don't feel whole or like our usual selves... while we often choose to isolate & hide away from the world.
This month I'd really like to work with some folks who are living life with one or more mental health diagnoses... you're not alone.

I'd love to hear about you & your story- then do a little photoshoot with whatever brings you joy, resonates with your soul, screams YOU, makes you feel good about yourself, etc... so many options.

Whether it's your pets, plants, quirky collection, artwork, hobby, cooking, hiking, etc ✨️ I want to capture you in your natural element, as the beautiful human you are.

What is a doula?

A doula is, in the simplest definition, a support person.

Someone who is drawn to birth & helping people, & puts in the time & energy to learn ALL the things.

We're committed to helping families. To improving birth stories & birth outcomes. To helping spread the love.
There are more than just birth doulas!

There's also: post-partum doulas, loss + grief doulas, fertility doulas, abortion doulas... literally any aspect of the childbearing years you can find a doula to help support & guide you & your family along the journey.
I have always been the person family & friends came to to ask questions or discuss their pregnancy/birth with. I've been holding space for birthing people & families since I was a teenager. Since my first God Daughter was born...

It is truly a great honor that I hold close to my heart anytime someone brings me into their world.

Whether it's asking questions while pregnant, they connected with me & want me on their birth team, or are comforted by my presence post-partum; I don't take it lightly.

I thank all of you who have trusted a piece of your soul to me. Thank you for leaving your beautiful mark & nudging me further on this path 🙏
