📖 Matthew 5:9

Peacemaking requires action.

➡️ Peacemakers lead the way with humility. No one is perfect and we all need grace. None of us are God, but we all need Him. Leading with a posture of humility is key.

➡️ Peacemakers lead the way with empathy. Even when we disagree with someone, respectfully listening and seeking to understand their perspective is essential for making peace.

➡️ Peacemakers lead the way with truth and grace. Any time Jesus interacted with people, He did so with both truth and grace. We must have both to accurately represent Him.

➡️ Peacemakers lead the way to the feet of Jesus. Apart from Him, we can do nothing. Apart from Him, we are nothing. When we realize our mutual brokenness, as well as our mutual need for Christ, everything can change.

✅ Seeking to be a mediator for those in disagreement doesn’t mean that every problem will be solved—immediately or ever. But when we invite God into those spaces and commit to the hard work of peacemaking, He can do more than we can ask or imagine.

“Blessed are the pure in heart: for they shall see God.” — Matthew 5:8

♥️God is not looking for perfection; He is looking for hearts that are fully devoted to Him. A pure heart is one that desires to honor God above all else. It is a heart that seeks truth, rejects hypocrisy, and longs to walk closely with the Lord.

➡️In a world filled with distractions, temptations, and mixed motives, Jesus calls His followers to focus on what is happening inside. While people often judge by outward appearances, God looks at the heart. When we spend time in prayer, study His Word, confess our sins, and follow His leading, He continues to purify our hearts and draw us closer to Himself.

🙏🏼The promise attached to this blessing is remarkable: “they shall see God.” As our hearts become more aligned with His will, we begin to recognize His hand at work in our daily lives. We see His faithfulness in difficult seasons, His provision in times of need, and His presence in every circumstance. One day, believers will see Him face to face in His eternal kingdom.

A heart devoted to God sees His presence where others see only circumstances.

“Blessed are those who mourn, for they will be comforted.”

No matter what burden you carry, God sees your pain, hears your prayers, and walks with you through every trial. His comfort is greater than our sorrow, and His hope shines even in our darkest moments.

Today, rest in the promise that you are never alone. God’s love surrounds you, His peace sustains you, and His comfort will carry you forward.
