Food portions are out of control, especially in the United States! It’s easy to get accustomed to sitting down in front of a giant plate of pasta or a foot-long sandwich, but it’s WAY too much food for the average person!
Next time you go out to eat, ask for a to-go box immediately and put half of your plate away. If you’re eating at home and trying to cut down, portion out what you would normally eat, then put back half of it.
If you’re still hungry after pausing to digest for 20 minutes, reach for some fruits, veggies, or nuts!
