We are set up here at Circleville for the half-mile. Got the Rotax back, so it will get its first action of the year.

Realized I forget to update on Lima race. Probably because of disappointing finish. Felt great in practice, but seemed like i got worse through the night. Qualified for Open Am main thru lcq, but both mains didn't go too well. But, we're going to change that today.

As always thanks to all my sponsors.

Last week at Bellefontaine was the 1st race of the season. It was a good start to the season. Saturday I felt good most of the day. I had to try and get comfortable on 2 new bikes. I was able to finish 1st in my 30+ class, and unfortunately my rear tire decided to not grip anything for the Open Am main but, I was happy to settle for 5th or 6th.

Sunday things felt okay but not as great as Saturday.....I must be getting old. I was able to repeat my 1st place performance in the 30+ and lets just ignore how the Open Am went....again I was tired.

So, solid opener to the season, still some work to do. On to Lima this Saturday. Thanks to the sponsors this year.

Day 2 here at Bellefontaine. Yesterday was a good day but had a few things needed to change. Gonna try out the 250 just for a little fun today.

Also, another new sponsor joining us this year is Greenville Transmission. Can't do this without my sponsors.

I will do a quick recap of Harpster from a week ago, to get to the more important post.
Harpster short track on Saturday was a slight disappointment. Rode the Heavyweight Vintage and 30+. Was struggling a little with the Rotax on the short track but was able to get 2nd in my heat. Trying to make some changes to get a run for 1st and just never quite got there, but no complaints about a 2nd. As for the 30+, I would say I was in pretty good form for a track Ive had some ups and downs on. Won my heat so felt good. Rough start in the main forced me to go chasing. As I caught up to the leader to battle for 1st I must've thought it was a good idea to see how hard the track felt. Not sure exactly what happened, but went down and finished with a DNF for the night.
But, I was able to get back at it Sunday on the half mile. Rode the same classes. Had a some easier race on the Rotax and I think I had her dialed on. took 1st in heat and main. As for 30+, had the bike good but kept getting some rough starts. Had to maneuver through a bunch of roost in both heats and mains. And I managed both times taking home a 1st and 1st. Good hard fought battles.

Thanks to my sponsors as always, PBR Photography for the pics, and Triangle for the tracks.

I guess you could say 1st race of the season went well. Unfortunately, with the weather conditions then the transformer blown the number of riders who showed up Sunday to race was down, when it was a pretty decent field on Saturday.

I raced 30+ and Heavyweight Vintage. Hoping the Rotax does better this year than it did last year. After a small issue with Rotax in practice we made a fix and it held great for the main. Had a nice battle between 3 of us fighting for the lead, unluckily I think I caught 1 too many holes and just wasn't able to keep up for the checkered. But it was still a hard fought 3rd. As for the 30+, I was able to get a lead off the 1st lap and just laid down some smooth laps to stretch the lead until the checkered.

So a productive 1st race of the year, and actually 1st time on a bike this year. Definitely have a few things to work on to get back to the level I ended on last year, but I'll take it.

Thanks to the sponsors, Rpm Promotions LLC for the great track, and PBR Photography for the pictures. On to the next race.
