> “We played a round of golf — I beat him (Michael Jordan) for a couple thousand dollars and was getting ready to leave. The Bulls were playing Cleveland that night, so I figured he was heading out to rest before the game. But MJ says, ‘No, let’s play another round.’

So we fill a bag with ice and Coors Light, and head out for another 18 holes. I beat him again — took another few thousand off him. Now, mind you, we’ve been drinking all afternoon, and this guy is going straight from the golf course to the arena to play an NBA game.”

I was joking around and said, ‘I’m gonna call my bookie. All the money you just lost to me? I’m putting it on Cleveland.’

He looks at me and says, ‘I’ll tell you what — I bet we win by 20, and I drop more than 40.’

I said, ‘Deal.’

And sure enough… that night, MJ goes out, scores 52 points, and they win by 26.”
