Let’s Honor the Gold Star families, Memorial Day think about those families as they celebrate the lives of those who paid the ultimate sacrifice.
During President Lincoln’s second inaugural address he captured our obligation to Gold Star Families quite well, “To care for him who shall have borne the battle and for his widow, and his orphan.” We must continue to honor this commitment and take care of these folks.
We are Americans! We chart our destiny, enjoy freedoms like no other nation, continue to attract and grow the best ideas and lead the free world. It is for these remarkable reasons people have died; celebrate them and the ones they left behind this Memorial Day, thank you!
