The Grayson Police Department has recovered 2 bicycles on the south end of Grayson. The bikes are relatively new and was recovered a few days ago. If you are missing a bike please call 474-4308 to identify the bikes.

Christopher Carpenter is wanted in connection to an officer related shooting that occurred at 4:30 am, Monday, June 10th, 2024.
If you have any information of the where abouts of Mr. Carpenter, please contact Grayson Police Department
at 911 or 606-474-6222.
Please do not approach Mr. Carpenter, as he is considered armed and dangerous.

The Grayson Police Department has been made aware of and has an open investigation about counterfeit bills being used in several businesses in town. Please use every means possible to detect counterfeit bills before accepting large bills. The incidents thus far have involved counterfeit $100 bills. We strongly suggest you use currency validators to verify the legitimacy of bills. Some of the bills have passed the detector pen test, we recommend you do not rely solely on this test. There have been three incidents thus far. We suggest business owners stress to their employees to be on the alert for counterfeit bills.

βToday the Grayson Police Department participated in an active shooter training hosted by Kentucky Christian University. We would like to give a special thanks to president Terry Allcorn and instructor Nathan Allcorn. In addition we would like to thank the students, staff and alumni who participated in this event.

On a recent traffic stop K/9 Toro was requested to assist another unit on a traffic stop. Toro indicated the presence of narcotics in the vehicle. During the search a substantial quantity of m**h was located inside the vehicle.
Due to numerous complaints and pedestrians almost being hit by vehicles the Grayson Police Department will be monitoring traffic at Main St. and Robert and Mary Ave during the hours of 7:15am to 8:00am and 2:30pm to 3:00pm. Any vehicles that are stopped in the roadway will be cited. We reccomend sitting in a parking lot until you can enter the turning lane safely. Please share.
