Matt Baldwin loves bringing vintage guitars back to life!

He had the pleasure this week to fix up our customer Jake’s Peavey T-60 guitar.

It belonged to Jake’s dad.
It had been sitting a while and needed a pickup replaced (we sourced an original 80 pickup for him) the electronics cleaned, the frets polished and a setup.

I sold these T-60’s brand new back in the 80’s

The single to humbucker wiring on the tone pots was a cool innovation back then.

Basically when the tone pot is at “10” the pickup is a single coil.
As you reduce the tone pot it blends into humbucking mode.
At around 5 it is in full humbucker mode.
Once below “5” it functions like a standard tone pot.
