And then there are all of us who love or care for those 25 million sufferers. We all have been, are now, or will be affected by diabetes. Those of us who have diabetes use glucometers, insulin pumps, syringes, diet, exercise, and much of our time and energy try
ing to control the disease. If we don't, coma, blindness, numbness in our limbs that could lead to amputation, impotency, and kidney disease are the results. Those of us who love or care for people with diabetes help the sufferers stay vigilant against the life-threatening effects of this horrible disease. We want to help the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation (JDRF), a global research foundation focused on supporting those with insulin-dependent diabetes, find a cure for diabetes as soon as possible.
