Solar owners should remember that during the winter their systems will produce less electricity. This is due to cloudy days, snow build-up, the sun being lower in the horizon, and the days are shorter. However, Quality Solar offers the "mechanical advantage", which recovers some of this loss. Dual axis solar trackers constantly face the sun, even when it is lower in the horizon. This better tilt angle also causes the snow to melt faster. Our premium model tracker even has a snow dumping feature. It will rotate 40 degrees every four hours and dump snow when it is in sleep or snow mode. This rotating dumping prevents pile-up in one place. Contact us for more information. We install year around and there is still time to get your 30% tax credit!
