Some jobs are less about the total footage and more about what you have to work around.
At the Rifle Airport, our crew is installing roughly 1,800 feet of 2-inch gas line for Xcel Energy to replace and extend outdated infrastructure.
One key challenge: getting pipe from one side of the taxiway to the other in a single 800-foot bore.
That takes the right plan, the right crew, and the right drill.
For this shot, we brought in our 60x90 to give the crew the reach and control needed to complete the bore safely and efficiently.
Another solid example of careful planning meeting the right equipment in the field.

Fiber builds do not just connect homes and businesses.
They connect schools, classrooms, teachers, and students.
MARK Construction is partnering with Clearnetworx to help bring fiber across Mesa County to District 51 schools.
For this route, that means building through busy parts of Grand Junction while working around traffic, hospital access, and tight timelines.
It is not the easiest place to work.
But it is the kind of project that matters long after the cones are picked up.
Good communication keeps a bore moving.
On this project in the Mountain View subdivision in Montrose, the crew stayed in sync from the drill to the foreman.
The operator needs clear direction.
The foreman needs to know where the drill head is.
The crew needs to stay aligned as the work moves forward.
It’s a simple part of the job, but it matters.
Good coordination helps keep the work moving safely and efficiently.

Most people never see this part.
In some areas, crews are working around fiber, gas, electric, water, sewer, and communications lines all within the same corridor underground.
That’s why utility verification, potholing, and planning matter before drilling even begins.
A lot is happening below the surface long before a bore path is cleared.
