🚣💙 The river is calling once again.

With the reopening of the Ruby-Horsethief section of the Colorado River to private boaters and the return of permit launches, we're grateful to see people back on the water enjoying this incredible stretch of canyon.

We also want to extend a heartfelt thank you to the Bureau of Land Management and the many partners who worked tirelessly during and after the emergency closure to safely coordinate the reunification of boaters with their vehicles, boats, and gear following the evacuation. It was a remarkable example of collaboration, communication, and dedication during a challenging time.

Thank you to everyone for your patience, flexibility, and support as the river corridor was kept safe for firefighters and emergency personnel.

Here's to a safe and memorable season on the Colorado River—we'll see you in the canyon! 🌄🛶

Please continue to recreate responsibly and respect any remaining closures or restoration efforts as the landscape recovers.

🦇Bat Walk in Gunnison Gorge🌌

As the sun sets earlier, a whole new side of Gunnison Gorge National Conservation Area comes to life! Join Colorado Canyons Association for an evening bat walk to learn about Colorado's fascinating bat species, their important role in healthy ecosystems, and how researchers study these remarkable nighttime mammals. We'll wrap up the evening with a guided walk using bat detectors to listen for bats as they emerge at dusk. Space is limited, so be sure to reserve your spot!
