Last weekend in Denver for the codugout22 awarded two locals some great awards ‼️‼️‼️

First and foremost Dick Mantlo who coached at Grand Junction High School and Palisade High School was the 2024 Inductee. His wife Claudia accepted the award ❤️

Coach Mantlo started at Palisade High School as a History teacher and Baseball Coach; he was selected as the Coach of the Year in 1985. In 1990 he went to Grand Junction High School, where he coached baseball, golf, and softball. He won over 300 games including 16 league titles, went to the final eight 14 times earning 2 semifinals and 1 state finals appearance. Coach Mantlo passed away in October of 2021.

Second award went to Coach Gary Boone at Fruita Monument as Assistant Coach of the Year. Congratulations Boone 👍🏼
