Very excited to share with you a new yarn line I’ve been working on! Rugged Flack is a a natural rug yarn made from 70% New Zealand wool and 30% Belgian flax. This rug wool blend is spun in the United States and has been hand-dyed by yours truly. This first color line was a joy to experiment with and produce and I can’t wait to see what you make with it! As with many things in life, yarn dyeing is an iterative process and this small batch of yarn is just the beginning, can’t wait to share more soon!

Dropped off these baby blankets .shopandstudio this weekend. If you’re local be sure to check out the shop, Mac & Katie have done an amazing job curating gifts and home goods and have a beautiful space! Well worth the trip to Middleville!

In other news Aaron and I are about 5 weeks away from our move back up to Grand Rapids. We visited there this weekend, stayed with a friend and visited a few of our favorite spots. I ran through our neighborhood, where we used to live and where we are moving back to, and could not get enough of all of the spring flowers, trees and beautiful old homes. It almost felt like we never left. On the sad side of things it seems as if my favorite neighborhood cat, Ziggy, has moved out. Looking forward to settling in soon, mixing old routines with new realities. Happy Monday!

Now that’s a cuddle puddle—3 of my most recent baby blanket prototypes! Had so much fun experimenting with rayon chenille and hand-dyeing a blanket after it was woven (the one on top). I’ve got a few yards of warp left and am open to any baby blanket commissions right now. DMs are open 📭

The majority of my yarn stash is currently in storage while we are preparing to move...and I can’t seem to track down this cone of lovely tencel yarn that I want to use for a baby blanket. Wish me luck on my continued search tomorrow!
