Go with your natural desire to get enough to eat of satisfying food, rather than trying to fight against it.
A gentle reminder as the holidays approach:
- You do not need to “earn” holiday food.
- You do not need to compensate for it later.
- And you do not need to enjoy every single part of it.
The holidays can be meaningful and complicated at the same time.
Both things are allowed to exist.

Not the summer I turned pretty. The summer I turned free. 🥹🫶

Summer can bring joy and pressure.
If food stress or body image thoughts are showing up, you’re not alone.
At CV Wellbeing, we’re reminding clients:
- Your appetite may shift this season, and that’s okay.
- Rest is valuable, not lazy.
- You don’t need to change your body to enjoy summer.
Read our summer reflections here:
Summer can feel complicated. Here’s your gentle reminder. Summer can bring longer days, more social events, and sometimes more pressure around food and body image. If that feels familiar, you are not alone. This season often stirs up old beliefs about how we should look or eat, and it can feel overwhelming to navigate.

You don’t have to push through pain to prove your worth.
Movement can be a way to connect with your body, not punish it.
If you’ve been told rest is lazy or that food has to be earned, you’re not alone.
You deserve a relationship with movement that feels respectful, not rigid.
