I finished reading "Circle of Days" by Ken Follette recently.

This is the 6th book in his Pillars of the Earth series which take place in England at various periods in history.

This one takes place around 2500 BC(E) around Stonehenge on the Salisbury Plain in the late Stone Age. In this book, the Monument, as it is called, already exists. People are divided not so much by tribes but more by profession. There are the herders and farmers that are central to the story but also flint miners and the Woodland folk who live in the woods.

Central to the plot of the book is the building of the inner circle of the Monument. Seft, a miner's son has some good engineering skills while the high priestess has the vision to move very large stones from a quarry about 2 days journey from the village.

Of course there are the inevitable conflicts that occur throughout the story to make it more interesting. There are good guys and of course some not so good people.

I really enjoyed this book and have read all 6 in the series so far. If you are interested in British history or just want a good read, I can definitely recommend these books.

Here is another book I read a few months ago. "The Coldest Winter" is about the Korean War.

There was lots of great information in this book and lots of great insights as to what happened and why.
I really enjoyed this book and learned a lot about this period of our history.
