Huge Thanks to LWCC for this generous program.

When Stacey Hughes retired this past January, I surprised her by funding an Ascension Fund grant in her honor in perpetuity. I thought this would be a great way to honor her as an unbelievably caring & great educator and her 31 years of service to Ascension Schools.

The very first Stacey D. Hughes grant was awarded this morning to Lisa Babin who teaches at St Amant Primary School. Stacey retired as the Asst Principal at that school. Lisa and St. Amant Primary are both near and dear to Stacey’s heart so needless to say, she is over the moon excited.
Congratulations Lisa and may your efforts to improve the lives of the kids in our parish continue to be blessed.
