This month's activity is Paper Marbling, a surface design technique using water and marbling inks to create swirled designs onto paper goods.

Brand Library & Art Center was home on Saturday night to a reception celebrating the opening of Brand 54: The 54th Annual National Juried Exhibition of Works on Paper. It was a gorgeous evening; perhaps you were there!

Today, we’re sharing with you one of the works juror Tracy Bartley selected, Amanda Spinosa’s 44 x 30 in. Risograph monoprint, “Spring Showers” The piece garnered an Associates Award.

Spinosa wrote, “Although the work starts from a personal place of experience or thought, I want my viewer to be able to connect or insert themselves into the work.”

We hope you can see the exhibit, which will be on view until August 28. Also, our handsome print catalog is available for purchase, as are most of the pieces of art in the show.
