Feel Good Politics—That Don’t 05/15/2026

The Senate unanimously voted to skip their paychecks during shutdowns. Sounds noble — until you realize the checks just sit in escrow waiting for them. A look at why feel-good politics don't.

Feel Good Politics—That Don’t I find it interesting that politics can be so polarizing.

Yearning for Acceptance: Reclaiming Human Connection in the Age of Algorithms 05/12/2026

It's here. 📖

Yearning for Acceptance is officially published and available.

This book started with a traffic ticket and ended with a question I couldn't shake: What are we really looking for when we scroll, swipe, and ask AI to tell us we're doing okay?

If you've ever felt more comfortable talking to an app than a person, or wondered why a "like" can feel so necessary—this book is for you.

I'd love for you to read it, share it, and tell me what you think.

Yearning for Acceptance: Reclaiming Human Connection in the Age of Algorithms We all have a deep-seated need to be accepted. In a world where human connection has become judgmental and transactional, millions are turning to a new source of validation: Artificial Intelligence. From the hollow victory of social media likes to the quiet atrophy of our emotional resilience...

"We built it to serve us. Now we beg it to love us."

That's the tagline for my upcoming book — and honestly, it's been living rent-free in my head for months.

While that one finishes, my author site is officially updated and live. Books. Commentary. A little bit of everything I think about. Even the 404 page is entertaining.

Thought of the day: What is written can be edited. What is spoken can never be changed.

The Romans built the Colosseum to manage a million restless citizens with spectacle and blood.

An AI to Die For 04/23/2026

The gun used in the FSU shooting enjoys federal immunity under the PLCAA. The chatbot that answered a question about busy lunch hours is being investigated for first-degree murder. Meanwhile the U.S. military used Claude to plan an operation that killed 83 people — and nobody opened an investigation into anything. If that isn't a two-tiered speech regime, I don't know what is. New long-form piece up at The ORWright Report.

An AI to Die For While the U.S. military uses Claude to plan a lethal raid, Florida prosecutors are treating ChatGPT like a principal in first-degree murder. Welcome to the age of the algorithmic double standard

The Politication of America 04/20/2026

Turns out I had some thoughts about Bad Bunny, The Strokes, the Academy Awards, and the TSA. Apparently I'm suffering from Politication Fatigue — and I'm betting I'm not alone.

The Secret Oracle 02/06/2024

Look what I created: https://a.co/d/4VkXkn4. It has been a struggle over the years working with clients who don't write their passwords down, or they have a collage of sticky notes or old, worn papers that are more confusing than helpful, I decided to make a book. I have to say, it's amazing how much goes into such a simple thing. I learned soooo much. It was worth the expense for the experience.

The Secret Oracle A decorative, free-form journal-style reference book for recording usernames and passwords.
