Historically Significant Glen Ellyn Homes

May is Preservation Month. This year, the National Trust for Historic Preservation's theme is "Power of Place" for its 75th Anniversary. This national campaign encourages people to celebrate the places that are meaningful to their communities.

The Historic Preservation Commission is partnering with Citizens for Glen Ellyn Preservation to place signs in front of 300 homes identified as being historically significant based on age, architectural merit, and integrity. The signs help focus attention on our Village’s historical and architectural gems, which form our unique architectural character and attract new residents and visitors to Glen Ellyn.

SAVE MAIN Action Alert:

There is a Village Board Workshop Meeting scheduled for tomorrow night, Monday, September 9th, 2024. The ONLY item on the agenda is

E. Main Street Garage
1) Discussion of the Acceptance of the Public Improvements for the Main Street Garage.

The Village should NOT be accepting of this. This is absolutely unbelievable if the Village of Glen Ellyn signs off on the Public Parking Garage on the 1st floor of Apex in this condition. Our Tax dollars are paying for this. When is it enough? When do we say NO?.

Who in the Village is accountable? These photos were taken on 9/08/24 in the garage near the Hillside entrance.

Contact the entire Village Board and let them know your thoughts.
