Gillette Crime Stoppers

Gillette Crime Stoppers is a non profit volunteer organization that relies on the donations from our community to fund operations. This way we don't have to ask our local government for taxpayer dollars! This year we are participating in the WyoGves donation day July 15, 2026!

We hope to raise enough money to cover the operations cost of our anonymous software program (P3) and still have enough to offer many, many cash rewards for tips that lead to arrests, recovery of stolen property, and in most recent events finding missing persons.

Individuals, groups, businesses will all be welcome and all donations are tax-deductible because we are a 501(c)(3) non profit. We are not operated by any local, state or federal government.

The Campbell County Sheriff's Office is seeking the public's assistance in locating Derek Schaff. Schaff has not been seen since June 12, 2026, and his last known location was the Weston Hills area north of Gillette.

Since receiving the report, the Campbell County Sheriff's Office has devoted extensive resources to locating Schaff. Search efforts have included the coordinated assistance of multiple agencies, the use of drones, K-9 teams, and numerous search and rescue personnel who have conducted extensive searches of the rugged terrain north of Gillette. Despite these efforts, Schaff has not yet been located, and the investigation remains active and ongoing.

If you have any information regarding Derek Schaff's whereabouts, have had recent contact with him, or know someone who has, we urge you to contact the Campbell County Sheriff's Office immediately at 307-682-7271 or 307-687-6176. Even information that may seem insignificant could prove valuable to investigators.

The Campbell County Sheriff's Office appreciates the community's continued cooperation and support as we work to locate Derek Schaff and resolve this investigation.
