While an overall synopsis is good for understanding things in a generalized sense, the real estate market in a large city like Phoenix has many small micro-markets. As illustrated in the stats that have come out for the first few weeks of the new year, numbers can and are skewed dramatically by what is happening in the various micro-markets.
