Don't forget Fido and Fluffy when house-hunting! It's their FURR-EVER home too!
3 tips to consider when looking for your new home (besides a yard!):
š¾ Pet-Friendly Flooring
Look for durable, scratch-resistant flooring like tile or laminate. Carpeting can be tough to clean, while hardwood might scratch easily depending on your pet.
š¾ Proximity to Parks and Trails
A home near pet-friendly parks or walking trails is a huge plus, offering a convenient way to exercise your pets and keep them entertained.
š¾ Pet-Friendly Neighborhood
Research the neighborhood for pet-friendly amenities like nearby vets, pet stores, and grooming services. Itās also worth checking if the area has sidewalks and is safe for walking your pet.

š£ Bomb advice incoming.
As a real estate agent, thereās nothing better than seeing a couple take the step into homeownership as a team.
But letās be honestā¦
Buying a home with another person has its challenges, and most of them start with miscommunication. š
Before you start searching for your new home, go through these 10 questions with your partner so youāre on the same page:
1. Do you see this being our forever home or starter home?
2. What are your must-haves and nice-to-haves when it comes to a home?
3. Are you open to working on the home? If so, to what extent?
4. Is our income likely to increase, decrease, or stay the same over the next 5-10 years?
5. How involved will our parents be in this process (financially or otherwise)?
6. How will our lives change over the next 5-10 years, and how might that change what we need from our house?
7. Can we still make our mortgage payment if one of us unexpectedly loses our job?
8. How much of our monthly pay are we comfortable with spending on a mortgage payment?
9. How much outdoor space do we want, and how will we maintain it?
10. Whatās the ideal timeline for buying a home?
If youāre not married, here are two bonus questions youāll want to get clear on before you start looking:
1. What will happen with the house if we break up?
2. Do we want to have an attorney create a legal agreement, or are we comfortable with a verbal agreement?
While these questions are kinda serious, itās best to get them aired out before youāre in the middle of a heated negotiation or after you get the keys. š
