I stopped taking them. I realized that shingles was a virus that began to cause problems in the elderly and immune-compromised. The next doctor visit I asked about this and the doctor said it was nothing to worry about and to keep taking the antiviral medications. I wasn’t getting to the source of the problem and the shingles kept coming back every couple of months.
