I'm sure you received the notification by now, G4 Universal Analytics will stop reporting!!
(Not to be confused with the pop hit circle 2010 G6, 😂😂) Don't panic, it's not technically happening until 2023.

So you are wondering well what is the difference between Universal and this G4 Analytics? The answer to that question is very simple, Universal Analytics is outdated and not efficient enough for how people are using the internet today, it also isn't as adaptable to the privacy policies of today.

With G4 you will now have event-based tracking for things such as Page Views, Purchases, First-User visits, and even embedded Video Views.

You will also be able to choose your attribution model (how your conversions are tracked). This will give you more visibility into how all of your marketing channels are performing.
