Ink With Rae

Reminiscing on this past year, I moved from Washington to Arizona and immediately started busting my a$$ to run my own biz.
I worked multiple jobs at a time, met some of the most amazing people in the world, put a sh*t ton of miles on my car, worked out of a little dream room that my brother and I created, and I manifested a tattooing space like no other.
Our room was designed with the intention to promote ease and inclusion, to be accommodating and welcoming, to be unique and to provide you with a different tattoo experience than you will experience at a traditional shop.
I learned so much that I never would have expected (how not to sub-lease a space, how to not take disrespectful people personally, how to delegate, how to work with a language barrier, how to make people feel at ease, how to not let perfectionism stop you, etc.) and I failed over and over and over again.
I would do everything differently if I could.
If there’s one thing that i learned it’s that if you want to grow, you have to fail. You don’t get one without the other.
Here’s to knowing more and doing better this coming year. I am grateful for every set back and every opportunity, but I am mostly grateful to work side by side with my brother! May every year get better and better ☺️🤍 Thank you thank you thank you!!!!

Long time no see! I have a few updates 🤩
1. I’ll be re-opening my books in the next week or so. Books closed means that I’m not accepting new appointments including touch-ups. I’ll post when they open!
2. Touch-ups will be first priority when books re-open. If I told you that you will get a complementary touch up, I will ask for a $15 refundable deposit moving forward. My only no-shows are people who don’t submit a deposit. I obvs can’t justify driving as far as I do for a free no show. You will 100% get it back if you arrive to your touch-up!
3. I’m going to be picky with new designs!! Going back to my roots and what I love to do- teeny tiny tattoos! I’m looking for micro designs- no script, no designs larger than 2”x2” and little to no shading. I’m taking very few appointments in the next 2 months. It’s nothing personal if I don’t take you as a client! If you have no showed before, you will be declined 🙁
3. Please note: my brother and I have our lease through June and we will be taking a vacation 🌴 for a few months before we re-sign somewhere. If you book a new appointment, I will not be doing touch ups any time soon.
4. No complimentary touch-ups will be offered moving forward, including on fingers and hands. Again, I can’t justify driving as far as I do, for free!
No DMs please! You can email [email protected] with any questions and I will get back to you as soon as I can.
I’m still a beginner in the tiny tattoo world and am learning and teaching myself every day! I have screwed up so many times this year and have had many proud moments. Sometimes I have to adjust my boundaries too. Thank you for your support throughout this past year! I appreciate every person who has followed me and come to see me, especially those who are kind, supportive, understanding, provide constructive feedback and who feel like friends to me now!
Thank you from the bottom of my heart! 💖
