One of the easiest compliance mistakes to make is assuming a change can wait until your next filing.
Many state regulators and NMLS require certain changes to be reported within specific timeframes, including:

✅ Changes in ownership
✅ New control persons
✅ Changes to company contact information
✅ Updates to qualifying individuals or key personnel
Waiting too long to report a change can lead to deficiencies, fines, or unnecessary scrutiny during an examination.
