ommunity forward? How will council members and professional staff commit to holding the line on taxation to encourage more residents to stay in the borough and others to move back to the borough? Charles has developed three priorities that will guide his service on council if elected. He would like to invest further borough resources to create:

positive leadership – generate spirit of creativity and cooperation on borough council that inspires new vision and project planning throughout the community; absolute total commitment to transparency in borough governance, focused and transparent work on new borough strategic plan; more town hall meetings for Ward 3

healthy community – facilitation of a business advisory group for the borough; coordination with non-profit organizations and community associations with interests in youth programming, health and recreation, housing, and other forms of community building; revitalization of the community garden; emphasis on grassroots neighborhood solutions, strategically supported by the borough, for ongoing health and safety concerns in Ward 3. smart economic development – renewed focus on areas of town with unrealized development and/or residential potential, specifically the site formerly known as REDDI (between Carlisle and Stratton); deeper partnerships with area colleges and universities; commitment to patient, consistent, and ongoing discussion and hard work toward the consolidation and regionalization of planning and select services across municipalities.
