FWD Extreme"s

"UPDATE"----It's been a month now with several calls made and some with no return calls. What a way to run a business, GEEZ !!!
After (3) conversations with Don Lieby, who said they were interested and would contact me and never did, Lincoln is a "NO". Contacted Williams Grove today, they are booked solid. Called and waiting to hear back from Selinsgrove. They would like to set something up now that I have spoken with them. Also called Eldora, they would like to set something up for August. Need their replies A.S.A.P. so I can get our schedule done...

Well, I've contacted Lincoln & Williams Grove today. Now we'll wait and see who returns my call. I really would like one of these tracks to step up for the (3) track shoot-out. If either one does, then I can work out our schedule, if not, then I'll decide which way to go from here....

For those of you who are interested in joining, post a picture of your racecar for the public to view. This may also help in getting sponsors for you & "FWD EXTREME'S" events. The more sponsors that "FWD EXTREME'S" gets, the more the membership can get out of it. Thank You & See You At The Track...

Hello Again,,,Well, the Racing is officially over for 2013. But I'm working on a few things for the 2014 season. Still in comunication with other tracks, some we're in, & others, I'm waiting for the scheduling. When it's final, I'll let you know !!! Seems there are quite a few holding off to see if I get "FWD EXTREME'S" into (1) particular track. "FWD EXTREME'S" is not about (1) track... Several of you race at several different tracks as it is, & this would be just adding another track to your list of possibilities. There are a few things that need to be taken care of & without the proper membership, those things won't happen very fast. When I approach a track & tell them I have about 50+ drivers interested, but only (5) signed up & paid, that doesn't show your support at all. I can't, & won't make promises to possible parties that are interested without your support. I'm doing my part & then some, now it's your turn. Membership fee is $12.00 per year, break it down, that's $1.00 per month. you give more than that for a tip at a restaurant or bar. So, could you PLEASE, think about the possibilties that are waiting & send or drop off your membership fee to: John Shorb Sr.

Now, on the down side of things. Most of you know or have heard I underwent a total of (22) surgeries within the past (2) yrs. on my stomach & chest. They've finally gotten things straightened out, or at least I hope & feel they did. Now, as of last week I've been diagnosed with, Degenerative Disc, C-spine, 6 & 7, and Epicondylitis Lateral. In short, it means, I'm more than likely retiring from behind the wheel or face the chance of being paralyzed or worse. O no !!! I'm not giving it up !!! I fought long & hard thru the last (2) yrs. & there's still fight in me. To break it down for you, I'll have more time to work on "FWD EXTREME'S" and help out my son's & hopefully be around when my daughter gets behind the wheel. As of yesterday, my son J.J., is buying me out, and we pulled car #1 into the shop. After #1, comes #2 and #3. Here's to all of you who have helped & stood behind me over the many, many years of racing,,,THANK YOU & THANK YOU AGAIN !!!
