Georgetown-Scott County Planning Commission

The Georgetown–Scott County Planning Commission invites the community to attend the “Stamping Ground New Ground(s)” Community Forum on Thursday, May 28 at 6:30 PM EDT at Stamping Ground Elementary School.

This meeting is an opportunity for residents, property owners, and community members to learn more about the ongoing zoning update discussions and share ideas about the future of Stamping Ground. The conversation will focus on growth, development opportunities, preserving community character, and understanding what future zoning districts could look like within the city.

The forum is one step in an ongoing planning process that includes community discussions, ordinance drafting, and future public hearings. Community input gathered during these meetings will help guide the direction of the project moving forward.

The Georgetown Board of Adjustment is scheduled to meet Monday May 4, 2026 at 5:30pm and the Scott County Board of Adjustment is scheduled to meet Thursday May 7, 2026 at 5:00pm.

The meetings are located at the Scott County Fiscal Courtroom, Third Floor (101 East Main Street, Georgetown KY 40324).
