We're also collecting donations of school supplies, hygiene items, clothing, shoes, and snacks to help stock The Locker Foundation's on-campus Lockers so students in our community have access to the essentials they need throughout the school year.

🛍️ For many students, back-to-school shopping at Kohl’s is so much more than a shopping trip—it’s a fresh start. ❤️

For nearly 200 students, this is the first opportunity they have to choose brand-new clothes that actually fit. It’s a chance to express their own style, build confidence, and walk into school feeling like they belong.

Each student is paired one-on-one with a caring volunteer who helps them shop for everything they need to start the school year with confidence. Every student receives:

👕 A full week’s worth of new clothes
🧦 New socks and underwear
👟 Brand-new shoes
🧥 A cozy hoodie
🎒 A new backpack filled with school supplies
🪥 Hygiene essentials

What makes this day so special isn’t just what’s in the bags—it’s how our students are treated. Every child is given the opportunity to shop with dignity, make their own choices, and feel seen, valued, and respected.

We are incredibly grateful for our partnership with Kohl’s. Their team and our amazing volunteers work together to create an unforgettable experience that reminds students they are important and worthy of new beginnings.

The impact doesn’t end when the shopping trip is over.

Through this partnership, The Locker also receives Kohl’s Cash, allowing us to purchase additional clothing for the elementary school nurse closets. That means hundreds more students throughout the school year have access to clean, properly fitting clothing when they need it most.

One shopping trip creates a ripple effect that reaches children all year long.

This program costs approximately $45,000 each year.

At The Locker, we believe in caring for the whole child. That’s why we provide school supplies, clothing, shoes, hygiene products, and shelf-stable food for students experiencing food insecurity. Because when a child’s basic needs are met, they can focus on what really matters—learning, growing, and reaching their full potential.

One thing that makes The Locker different is that we never qualify children based on income or financial circumstances. We know that hardship doesn’t always fit into a checklist, and no child should go without because of paperwork or a number on a form. If a student has a need, we’re here to help.
