Royal Spring Middle School Titans 8th Surge Past BCMS 8th Grade Colonels Thanks To Big Second Inning

Royal Spring Middle School Titans 8th defeated BCMS 8th Grade Colonels 10-2 on Monday at TBD thanks in part to six runs in the second inning. Channing Pflum drew a walk, scoring one run, Jack Slone drew a walk, scoring one run, an error scored one run, Gram Spurlock singled, scoring one run, Max Hayes grounded out, scoring one run, and Eli Mullins doubled, scoring one run.
A single by Pflum extended the Royal Spring Middle School Titans 8th lead to 7-0 in the top of the third inning.
Mullins earned the win for Royal Spring Middle School Titans 8th. The righty allowed three hits and two runs (zero earned) over two and two-thirds innings, striking out one and walking one. Justify Christopher took the loss for BCMS 8th Grade Colonels. The starter went one inning, giving up four runs on one hit, striking out three and walking two. Spurlock collected the save.
Spurlock and Mullins each collected two hits for Royal Spring Middle School Titans 8th. Spurlock and Pflum each drove in two runs for Royal Spring Middle School Titans 8th. Hayden Pearson led Royal Spring Middle School Titans 8th with two walks. Overall, the team had a strong eye at the plate, amassing six walks for the game.
Harrison Steen, Yadier Solorio, Christopher, and Hudnall each collected one hit for BCMS 8th Grade Colonels. Steen led BCMS 8th Grade Colonels with one run batted in. The shortstop went 1-for-2 on the day.
