Matt Deneen ’90 is a game changer! Featured in the Spring 2026 GC Moments Magazine, he was recruited to play basketball at GC and notes that Georgetown felt like home right away. At GC, he learned the value of relationships, the importance of preparation, how to deal with adversity, and the value of commitment on and off the court.

Mandi Boykin McCoy ’11 is a game changer! Featured in the Spring 2026 GC Moments Magazine, she transferred from UC because Gtown offered her a more hands-on experience, greater engagement, and more attentiveness. She learned leadership skills on the court, noting that she learned to ask herself, “How do I motivate this person and meet them where they are?"

Joanna Lane ’02 is a game changer! Featured in the latest issue of GC Moments Magazine, Lane discusses how being a college athlete drove her success and shaped her career. Her leadership on the field extended off the field, where she advocated for better resources and support for the entire team.
