🚓 Jr. Citizens Police Academy – Day 4 Complete! 🎉
That's a wrap on another outstanding day of our Jr. Citizens Police Academy!

Today, our participants got an inside look at several specialized areas of law enforcement, including:

🤝 Hostage Negotiation – Learning how communication, patience, and critical thinking can peacefully resolve high-stress situations.

🚔 Traffic Stop Etiquette – Understanding what both officers and drivers should expect during a traffic stop, helping build safer interactions for everyone.

🐕 SRT/K-9 Demonstration – The week wrapped up with an exciting look at our Special Response Team and K-9 Unit, showcasing the teamwork, discipline, and specialized skills used to protect our community.

What an incredible group of participants! They've asked great questions, embraced every challenge, and shown tremendous enthusiasm throughout the week. We hope this experience has given them a greater appreciation for law enforcement and inspired future community leaders.

Day 1 of Jr. Citizens Police Academy is in the books! 🚔

What a fantastic start to an exciting week! Today, our participants learned about the ethics and expectations of being a police officer, toured the Georgetown Police Department, met with our Recovery Support Team to learn about the important work they do in our community, and got an up-close look at our Drone Unit.

The enthusiasm, great questions, and positive attitudes from this group have been incredible. We can't wait to see what the rest of the week has in store!
