It's still Black Friday week!

The first black-and-white television was commercially sold in 1936. For twenty years after that point, television broadcasts were only available in monochromatic format. The black-and-white era of television viewing is considered classic programming by many people; a time when shows like I Love Lucy, Leave it to Beaver, and The Honeymooners dominated the airwaves. Average prices for a home television set during this time ranged from $150 to $500.
