Scott County Schools will be closed Wednesday, February 4, 2026. This will be a NTI day in Scott County.

Middle and high school students should visit the Google Classroom for each of their teachers to find specific assignments for NTI.

Las escuelas del condado de Scott estarán cerradas el viernes 30 de enero de 2026. Este será un día tradicional de nieve, no un día de NTI.

El día 9 de febrero ahora será un día que los estudiantes asistan a clases. Originalmente en el calendario escolar fue programado como un día que los estudiantes no asisten a la escuela. Pero para que las clases terminen antes de 1 de junio, se hizo este cambio.

Scott County Schools will be closed on Friday, January 30, 2026. This will be a traditional snow day, not a NTI day. No assignments for students.

This has been an exceptional year of winter weather so far and we still have several weeks remaining. In Scott County, we have missed 10 regular in person instruction days to date and we aren’t even officially out of the month of January. Because we do not know what the future holds in terms of weather-related cancellations, we are making a conservative change to the school calendar now to add a regular attendance day for students while we can.

Students will now attend school on Monday, February 9, 2026. In the original calendar, this day was listed as a professional development day for teachers. This change allows us to still get out of school before June 1, a goal we all share, and reserve our remaining NTI days for use if weather and dangerous road conditions continue to be a factor. These could easily prove a much-needed resource if current weather patterns continue.

Calendar revision can be inconvenient but we felt this change was important so we can limit further disruption for our students and families while also planning ahead for the unknown. Consistent in person instructional days and the wrap-around services we provide are vitally important for our students.

As the number of snow and NTI days add up, we are also counting down to the day when our schools are open and our students and staff can return to school safely.
