If your district is still sending IEP goals through Google Translate or attaching Word docs to unsecure emails, here’s your wake-up call: under federal and Texas state law, that’s not compliant—and it’s not safe.

Language access doesn’t have to be complicated. In fact, small steps can make a big impact:

✔ Translate the entire IEP, not just the goals
✔ Provide Prior Written Notices in the parent’s native language
✔ Use a secure, trackable system for document sharing—not email attachments

The truth is, AI translation tools can’t replace professional judgment. They misinterpret acronyms, overlook cultural context, and often confuse families rather than inform them. And if that confusion leads to a dispute, your district is liable.

At Translate Solutions, we partner with districts that want to build trust, not break it. Our team includes education-trained human translators who know what’s at stake—and how to protect both families and schools through clarity, accuracy, and professionalism.

If you want to start meeting legal standards and supporting families with confidence, we’re here to help.

Special education is filled with acronyms—IEP, FAPE, BIP, LRE, PWN—and while educators may be fluent in them, many families are not. But each of these acronyms represents something powerful and personal: a plan, a protection, or a pathway to success.

If families don’t understand these terms, they’re left behind in meetings that are supposed to support their child. That’s where districts unintentionally break trust—not because they don’t care, but because they rely on AI tools or generic summaries that strip away context.

When documents are professionally translated, these acronyms come to life. They’re no longer barriers—they’re bridges. Translate Solutions makes this possible by providing full, accurate translations that honor the intent behind every acronym and every service.

When you equip families with knowledge, they show up empowered. That’s the kind of support every student deserves—and every district can deliver.

Extended breaks—like Easter—shouldn’t disrupt the trust between families and schools. But for students who rely on routine, behavioral supports, or therapy services, the return to school can be confusing if not properly planned for. Families often wonder: Will accommodations resume right away? Will therapy pick back up without delay? Should they expect regression or re-acclimation time?

Under IDEA, the answers to those questions must be documented clearly in the IEP. But if that information is never translated—or is inaccurately translated using AI tools—parents are left guessing. And when families feel left out, trust is lost.

Every parent has the legal right to receive timely, accurate information about breaks and services in their native language. When schools fall short, the district—not the family—bears the responsibility.

Translate Solutions helps districts get it right the first time. Our 100% human translators understand special education, timelines, and compliance—because families deserve clarity, not confusion.
