Starting the club in his garage, Sax was the coach from 1952-1989. In 1989 Ed Placencia took over as coach for the boxing club. We have had around 4,400 boxers in the club over the last 70+ years and produced several Golden Glove winners and even more champions in life. The club has had a number of locations over the years but now has a permanent home at 116 S. Taylor St in Garrett. Our Motto since we opened in 1952 has been WINNERS NEVER QUIT, QUITTERS NEVER WIN.
DCBC WILL CLOSE JUNE 2ND & RE OPEN AUGUST 4TH. FOR THE SUMMER.
