The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen
Hi, I’m Nikisha Pace, Founder & President of The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen — a nonprofit pay-what-you-can restaurant initiative in Garland, TX where all are welcome, regardless of means.
We're Building More Than a Kitchen
Every great community starts with a table.
The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen isn't just about serving meals. It's about creating a place where every person—regardless of their circumstances—is welcomed with dignity, kindness, and a seat at the table.
Right now we're building the volunteers, partnerships, sponsors, and community that will make that vision possible right here in Garland.
Thank you for believing in something that doesn't exist yet... because together, we're creating it.
❤️ All are welcome, y'all.
Our board president, Kisha, explains what Gracefull means to her:
"quote"
Grace for all, and food for all.

Community Impact Team Orientation Welcome to the Community Impact Team!Thank you for taking the next step in helping grow The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen. This orientation is designed…
From humble beginnings...
Our board president, Kisha, has always loved to cook, but started The Gracefull Table, her own catering business in 2018. She had the idea to use her love of cooking to feed those who can't afford a good meal. Now we're building that dream!
A lot has been happening behind the scenes at The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen… and we can’t wait to share it with you.
Over the past few weeks, we’ve been meeting with potential community partners, welcoming new volunteers, building our advisory team, planning our first community dinners, creating training materials, and laying the foundation to bring our pay-what-you-can restaurant vision to Garland.
It may seem quiet on social media, but trust us—we’ve been busy. Every meeting, every phone call, and every new connection brings us one step closer.
Thank you for believing in this mission and cheering us on.
The exciting part is just beginning. 💙
Have you ever gone through a hard financial season where you couldn't afford to eat well?
Have you ever had a season of grief or depression that makes feeding yourself a chore, so you opt for quick meals over and over?
Have you ever been traveling for so long that you get sick of eating takeout, craving a home-cooked meal?
That first good meal after a challenging season is a game changer. It's revitalizing, and can make you feel human again! We believe that everyone deserves access to good food, no questions asked. Giving everyone access to that universal, human feeling of eating a great meal is core the mission of The Gracefull Table.
🎉 Volunteer Orientations Are Underway! 🎉
We're excited to officially kick off volunteer orientations for The Gracefull Table Community Kitchen, and we'd love for you to be part of it!
Whether you're interested in helping with Kitchen Operations & Hospitality or becoming part of our Community Impact Team (fundraising, community outreach, social media, partnerships, volunteer recruitment, and more), now is the perfect time to get involved.

🧡 Food with Dignity. All Are Welcome, Y'all.
How does a pay-what-you-can restaurant work, anyway? Everyone eats, and what they choose to pay, and how, is up to them. At The Gracefull Table, we plan for every diner to get a ticket, just like a normal restaurant. The check holder allows every diner privacy - some pay nothing, some pay a little, and some pay in full - or more! - than the suggested price of their meals. Some may choose to volunteer their time to contribute.
No matter what, everyone is treated with respect. That means no judgment, no stares, no shame. Those that can pay in full, donate more, or volunteer their time, help to cover the overhead of operating the restaurant and subsidize those that can't afford to pay in full. The restaurant is a nonprofit, so any extra money goes into the mission, the restaurant, and paying staff living wages!
