Gentlemen - if I could monetize every time one of you tried to mansplain something, or subtly, not-so-subtly, attempted to silence an opinion I have, or actual lived experience I possess, I could retire early.
So let me be very clear:
Never confuse my kindness with weakness.
If you think I will sit quietly while you do it, consciously or subconsciously, you are deeply delusional.
In this current climate, you may want to tread lightly in rooms where your entitlement is no longer welcome.
You are either an ally or you are part of the problem.
There is no comfortable little in-between.
Phone addiction isn't about the phone. It's about what the phone replaced.
Boredom used to lead to daydreaming.
Anxiety used to lead to journaling.
Stillness used to lead to ideas.
You didn't get addicted to a device.
You got addicted to escaping the discomfort that used to make you interesting.
