Just Checking In...

I think Melissa may have found the best way to start a Monday morning...

Just popping in to check on you.

Last Friday was a big day for our new Clydesdales as they met the rest of the herd. We spent the day watching, noticing, and letting everyone settle at their own pace.

One thing horses teach us is that good care starts with paying attention.

Not rushing.
Not forcing.

Just noticing.

I wonder how often Jesus does that with us.

Not with disappointment or pressure just gently checking in.

"How's your heart today?"

Maybe before you tackle your to-do list, take a minute to check in with yourself too.

✨ Peace Tip:
Before your day gets busy, pause for one minute. Take a deep breath and ask, "How am I really doing today?"

Glory & Grace had a clean bill of health.

Their feet will need continued special care. We immediately killed the mites in their feathers and the dr said to keep working on the dermatitis. It will take some time, she said we are doing a good job on this issue. Grace's is frog and hoof wall problem
Are recovering nicely.

Dentist appointment is July 12. With Madison Potter she takes great care of LLR's herd. She is phenomenal!!

If you would like to help the Clydesdale's with their health care expenses.
We have Paypal, Venmo( MelissaSCowan62), Cash or check. Note: Clydesdales or Grace & Glory. Funds will go directly to their care.

My son Ryan is 6'4".

Standing next to Spirit, our smallest horse, he looks like a giant.

Standing next to Grace, our new Clydesdale, he suddenly looks... average.

Perspective changes everything.

How often do we compare ourselves to someone else and decide we're too much… or not enough?

Too loud.
Too quiet.
Too broken.
Not gifted enough.

Comparison has a way of stealing our peace.

But God never asked us to measure ourselves against someone else. He simply invites us to be faithful with the life He's given us.

Grace doesn't wish she were smaller.
Spirit doesn't wish he were bigger.

Each was created with purpose.

So were you.

✨ Peace Tip: The next time comparison sneaks in, thank God for one thing that makes you uniquely you.
