Losing a parent is an indescribable experience.

It’s a strange peace — knowing they’re no longer suffering — yet your heart aches wishing they were still here, healthy, and living their best life.

As many of you know, I was a full-time caregiver for my mother. It was a 24/7 journey filled with challenges, heartbreak, love, and moments of grace. She gave her all in the face of illness, and I gave my all as her daughter and caregiver. We did it, Mom. Like you always said — “It’s just me and you.” Well done 👏🏾.

Through it all, I’ve seen God’s hand at work. I don’t believe in coincidences — I believe in the Holy Spirit, and that nothing happens by chance. So I say, thank you Lord, for the preparation. For the strength. For walking me through this season.

As I close this chapter, I’m choosing to welcome the new even though adjusting will take time. I know I’ll be okay.

If you’ve ever wondered where I get my energy, joy, and personality from, it’s her. ❤️ I’ll keep showing up, keep teaching, keep encouraging — because that’s exactly what she would want me to do.

So when you see me on the podium, in the GX room, at Bootcamp — singing, dancing, giving it my all — know that it’s because of that little lady who loved life and loved people with her whole heart.
