Sure enough, a year later and my 4 year old son still remembers the names of the horses that pulled our “sleigh”. My first year here, I was honestly pretty disappointed that the only Christmas Tree “farms” were in parking lots. Disappointment is an understand btw. I even drove to Horseshoe Bend for the only farm I could find on the internet just to find out, it had been closed and sold to new owners that didn’t want a Christmas Tree Farm. So the first 3 years, we did the parking lot farm but the 4th year, I found Idaho Sleigh Rides and it’s now a new holiday tradition! Here’s what you need to know about getting a Christmas tree with Idaho Sleigh Rides in Garden Valley: ✅ Small (4 or less) and Large (up to 12) wagon/sleigh options available to reserve for $300 & $400 respectively ✅ If there’s no snow, you get a wagon with wheels but if you’re lucky enough to have snow, then they’ll switch out the wheels with ski’s and you’ll have a sleigh ✅ It’s just a short ride through the meadow in Garden Valley where you might be lucky enough to see the wild elk grazing ✅ Unfortunately, you do not cut your own tree down, they are simply sitting in a little area tied to a post but it’s all about the experience! ✅ The entire trip is about 30-45 minutes so not long and there will be some hot chocolate and a cookie waiting for your when you return Trees are Douglas Fir & Noble Fir.
