Meet Eric Andres, one of our dedicated Helicopter Maintenance Technicians whose passion for aviation and safety has been shaped by 15 years of military experience. After transitioning from military aviation, he joined Gallup Med Flight nine months ago and quickly became an essential part of the team.

What he enjoys most about helicopter maintenance is the responsibility that comes with the job. In his words, when something is broken, there’s no debating it or putting it off, it has to be fixed because safety always comes first. Being able to identify an issue and make the repair himself is one of the most rewarding parts of the work.

When he’s off shift, you’ll usually find him staying busy with projects around the house or unwinding with some gaming, especially Grand Theft Auto. Originally from Nevada, his idea of the perfect day off is simple: sleeping in, enjoying a good cup of coffee, and keeping the phone notifications turned off for a little peace and quiet.

Something people may not know about him is that he left for military boot camp at just 17 years old. He’s also currently studying Buddhism, something that has become an important personal interest outside of work

On this Memorial Day, Gallup Med Flight pauses to honor those who gave their lives in service to the United States Armed Forces. Their courage, sacrifice and unwavering dedication to our nation will forever be remembered. We are grateful for their legacy and hold their families in our thoughts today.

Meet Isaac Jamison, one of our dedicated who helps bring critical care to patients when it matters most. With five years in healthcare, Isaac stepped into this role to push himself to the highest level of care. For him, flight medicine represents the full scope of what an RN can do, paired with a schedule that allows him to give his all on shift and fully recharge off duty. What keeps the job challenging is the constant evolution in healthcare. Staying current with best practices is part of the responsibility, and Isaac embraces that by always learning and adapting. He prepares for each shift with intention: a good night’s sleep, getting mentally dialed in, and even listening to medical podcasts to stay sharp. When he’s off, he makes it count so he can return focused and ready.

Outside of work, you’ll find him trail running, skiing, or mountain biking. And at home, he’s got a loyal sidekick named Bear. If he could choose anyone to transport one day, it would be Jesus. And the mindset that guides him through it all? “Just keep showing up. Get better. It gets easier, and you get more confident...just show up.”
