Women in Wellbriety Month is a time to honor the strength and wisdom of women on the healing journey. The Women in Wellbriety Journal offers a space for reflection about the role of women in our lives and recovery, how intergenerational trauma might have uniquely affected women, and how our traditions and culture might have shaped our views.

We encourage people of any gender to complete the prompts in this journal to promote healthy views of women and gender dynamics. Be sure to tune in next month for a similar set of prompts about men and masculinity!

Today at Rex Museum!

Celebrating the rich legacy of the Mother Road, America’s Main Street, the Route 66 Centennial Traveling Exhibit will be on view in Gallup, NM at the Rex Museum, May 9 - December 31, 2026. The exhibit marks two major milestones: the 100th anniversary of Route 66 and the 250th anniversary of the United States.
The Rex Museum is located at 300 W Historic Highway 66 in Gallup. The exhibit will be open to the public from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on May 9 (Saturday) during Gallup's ArtCrawl. General hours for the exhibit throughout the summer are Tuesday- Saturday from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Drawing from the documentary film series Route 66: The Untold Story of Women on the Mother Road by project director Katrina Parks, the traveling exhibit combines large-format interpretive panels, audiovisual materials, and educational activities designed for youth and family audiences. Together, these elements invite visitors to explore how Route 66 shaped American history, culture, and identity through the stories of the people who lived, worked, and traveled along it. From the glow of neon signs to the steady hum of tires on open pavement, every mile of Route 66 tells a story. For nearly a century, the road has drawn visitors from around the world and continues to hold countless stories waiting to be uncovered.
The Route 66 Centennial Traveling Exhibit is funded in part through a grant from the New Mexico Tourism Department and with generous support from the Octavia Fellin Public Library, Grants Main Street, WHEELS museum, and many other institutions. The exhibit will continue to travel to communities along the Mother Road, highlighting local histories while connecting them to the broader national story.
