This Pride Month, CaringMatters honors the LGBTQ+ community and recognizes that serious illness, caregiving, loss, and grief are deeply personal experiences that can be shaped by identity, family structure, and lived experience.

For many LGBTQ+ individuals, chosen family plays a vital role in caregiving and support. And in times of loss, being seen, affirmed, and supported in who you are matters profoundly.

At CaringMatters, we are committed to creating compassionate, inclusive spaces where everyone—regardless of sexual orientation, gender identity, or family structure—feels welcomed, respected, and supported through grief and healing.

Every day, but especially this month, we celebrate pride, resilience, and the power of community. We also recommit to ensuring that no one has to navigate illness, end-of-life, caregiving and grief loss alone.

For children and teens grieving the death of someone significant, connection and understanding can make all the difference.

Camp Erin Montgomery County gives grieving children a chance to heal, remember, laugh, and simply be kids alongside others who truly understand what they’re going through. We’re honored to share this special video highlighting the impact of Camp Erin and the importance of grief support for young people and families in our community.
