Philpot to Contest Two Car Top Sportsman Team in 2019

Recent news has revealed the latest plan for Philpot Family Racing heading into the 2019 race season. Former junior dragster champions Austin Philpot and Aaron Philpot have high expectations in advancing their future in the sport. They have recently added a second door car to their racing operation. Aaron Philpot who piloted the Rick Jones built Cavalier in Top Sportsman the past 2 seasons will be stepping out of one seat and into another for 2019. Aaron’s new set of wheels will be a 1963 split window Corvette built by Vanishing Point Racecars. It will be powered by a supercharged Brad Anderson Hemi. “I am excited to continue to compete in Top Sportsman and look forward to heads-up racing in the near future,” said Aaron. Austin Philpot will step behind the wheel of the nitrous-assisted Cavalier. “I’ve been 3.70s at nearly 200mph in Top Dragster, but I have never driven a door car. I am excited to step into the highly competitive class of Top Sportsman” said Austin.

Congrats to Cole Cummings and the Cummings Motorsports team on the Super Gas Victory down at the ! Cole drove the Moser Engineering Chevy II to the first win of the season over Travis Giddens on a double break-out 9.897 to 9.890.
